Netmarble is officially calling for recruits to join the second closed beta test for their upcoming action RPG, 'Monster Guild: Star Dive', currently in development at Netmarble Monster.

The testing window runs from September 30 to October 10 on PC via the Netmarble Launcher and Epic Games Store. If you are interested in participating, make sure to submit an application on the official Monster Guild: Star Dive website by September 29.

This beta test unveils the Episode 2 main story, focusing on the exploits of the 9th Knights trio: Esde, Plea, and Reina. As the mastermind behind the 'Erosion'—the force turning cute monsters into frenzied terrors—is finally revealed, the true narrative arc of Monster Guild: Star Dive begins to take shape. Players can also get an early glimpse of 'Daisy', a new character slated for Episode 3.

The 'Monster Ring' collection system is also getting an update with the new 'Monster Ring Link Chain'. These rings, which allow you to capture and collect monsters as keyrings, are evolving beyond mere accessories; with the Link Chain, they now play a tactical role in combat, such as triggering skills. You can even put your collection to the test in a new mini-game, 'Monster Racing'.

The update also introduces around 30 new monsters and a fresh subjugation boss, 'Amon'. Players can dive into new dungeon content to power up skills and artifacts, or utilize the newly added cooking and equipment crafting systems.

A Netmarble official remarked, "With so much fresh content making its debut in this test, players will get a proper feel for the core experience of Monster Guild: Star Dive," adding, "We are prioritizing player feedback above all else, so please do share your thoughts."

For those who need a refresher, Monster Guild: Star Dive is the successor to the 2013 mobile collection RPG, 'Monster Guild'. It boasts Unreal Engine 5 visuals and a real-time tag action system based on a three-character party. The game is being developed for multi-platform play across PC and mobile, with global pre-registration currently open.

Netmarble is also set to showcase Monster Guild: Star Dive at the Tokyo Game Show, which kicks off on the 25th.
