The 'Korea AI Smart Sports Future Forum' held its official launch ceremony at the Busan National University of Education's Chambit Theater this past 23rd. The event saw attendance from figures like former Vice Minister of Culture Kim Yong-sam and Korea Game Policy Association President Lee Jae-hong, with celebratory video messages sent by Busan Superintendent of Education Kim Seok-jun and Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Sang-wook.

Lee Jae-sung, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea's Busan Metropolitan City Party and co-representative of the forum, stated, "We will play a pivotal role in realizing national agendas to transform Busan into the capital of esports and usher in an era of K-Smart Sports that is created in Busan and enjoyed by the world." Fellow co-representative and Busan National University of Education presidential candidate Jeon Je-cheol added, "We aim to set the standard for 'e-physical education' in leading future education and become a hub for training educators to herald the K-Smart Sports era."

Under the theme of 'The future of smart sports opened by the AI era, esports, and education,' the forum introduced the concept of 'e-physical education,' which integrates esports with daily physical activities. They declared an ambition to launch a 'National Smart Sports' era for everyone from primary school pupils to adults, aiming to present a new paradigm that leverages AI and digital technology to foster the simultaneous growth of both body and mind.

To achieve this, the forum presented a blueprint to lead the 'world's first K-Smart Sports' movement by exporting content developed through industry-academia cooperation between Busan National University of Education and the private sector. The forum plans to hold its inaugural seminar at BEXCO during G-Star this coming November.
