A new title bringing the world of The Seven Deadly Sins into an open-world setting has finally pinned down a release date.

During Tokyo Game Show 2025 (TGS 2025) on the 25th, Netmarble held a showcase for their open-world action RPG 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin', confirming a global launch scheduled for January 28, 2026.

The TGS 2025 stage featured Netmarble F&C Producer Koo Do-hyung and Art Director Park Dong-hun, alongside Netmarble Japan Business Division Head Yamashita Hirokazu. Joining them was Ayumu Murase, the voice actor for Tristan, with special guest Ayana Taketatsu, the voice actor for Tiore, also in attendance.

Alongside the release date, the developers announced a closed beta test running for one week starting October 30. This test will be available on PS5 and PC, offering a glimpse into the early main story, portions of the open-world map, and the combat mechanics.

Yamashita Hirokazu remarked, "The open world allows players to freely roam Britannia, the setting of the original series, which should provide a special experience for fans. We have also included multiplayer elements, such as tackling bosses with friends or engaging in various mini-games."

The event also showcased a video message from the original creator, Nakaba Suzuki. Nakaba Suzuki stated, "The ability to directly control both characters from the manga and original characters is a real thrill. Players will surely find unique joy in building their own dream team combinations." The voice actors then followed up with a live gameplay demonstration to highlight key features.

On the same day, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin was featured as a key title in Sony’s 'State of Play' showcase, appearing in the 'TalkOver' segment. The TalkOver segment is Sony's dedicated section where curated titles are introduced through detailed narrated footage.

The newly released footage displayed the vast Britannia continent as an open world, highlighting adventures, exploration, multiplayer modes, and life-skill content like fishing, cooking, and resource mining. The trailer also showcased dungeon gameplay supporting up to five players simultaneously. The release date for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin was confirmed at the end of the video.

Furthermore, a pre-order package for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, available via the PS Store, was revealed. This bundle includes various items such as gacha tickets, hero growth materials, and weapon upgrade materials.

Meanwhile, Netmarble has officially opened pre-registrations on the brand website for The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. The game will see a simultaneous release on PS5, PC, and mobile platforms.
