Krafton is kicking off the 9th season of its global esports tournament, the 'PUBG Global Series' (PGS), on the 13th.

The PGS is an international tournament where 24 professional teams from around the world compete for a spot in the 'PUBG Global Championship' (PGC). PGS 9 will be held from the 13th to the 19th at the Karisma Arena in Seremban, Malaysia.

The tournament features 10 global partner teams and 14 teams selected through regional series. Participants come from five regions: Korea (PUBG WEEKLY SERIES), China (PUBG CHAMPIONS LEAGUE), Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific (APAC), and Americas (AM).

The tournament consists of a Group Stage (3 days) and a Final Stage (3 days). The 24 teams are divided into three groups (A, B, and C) and compete in a round-robin format, with the top 16 teams from the Group Stage advancing to the Final Stage. All matches follow the standard PUBG esports rules, and the champion is determined based on the results of 18 matches. The total prize pool for PGS 9 is $300,000 (approximately 400 million KRW), with $100,000 awarded to the winning team.

PGS 9 also features viewer participation events. Viewers can earn in-game rewards through ▲Drops, obtain G-Coins by entering codes revealed during the broadcast through the ▲Broadcast code event, and enjoy the tournament by building their own dream squad in the ▲Fantasy League.

All matches start at 8:00 PM KST and will be broadcast live via official channels including SOOP, YouTube, and Chzzk. Further details on PUBG esports can be found on the official website.
