LoadComplete is set to reveal their new title, 'Crusaders Quest: Merge Chess', based on the beloved Crusaders Quest IP, at the upcoming Steam Next Fest kicking off on the 13th.

Crusaders Quest: Merge Chess is a spin-off from the original mobile RPG. It blends familiar puzzle mechanics with the 'Merge' genre, tasking you with combining objects to forge new ones in a strategy-heavy PvE experience.

Set within the established Crusaders Quest universe, the game features heroes from 12 factions and 6 distinct classes. You'll need to master the Goddess's blessing skills and hero synergies to succeed. The core loop revolves around merging to summon higher-tier heroes, with the developers opting to focus on PvE depth over competitive PvP.

LoadComplete CEO Bae Soo-jung shared the origin story: "Crusaders Quest: Merge Chess actually began as a suggestion from one of our engineers who has been handling the live service for years. It started as a light internal experiment, but as we saw the strategic potential and quality start to shine, we decided to fast-track its development for Steam Next Fest." She added, "We hope this serves as a small gift for the long-time fans and a promising first step in expanding the Crusaders Quest IP."

LoadComplete previously released a demo version on September 29. Further details regarding the game will be rolled out via the official Steam page as they become available.
