The '2025 Korea Game Society X NEXON University Student Digital Art Contest,' jointly hosted by the Korea Game Society and NEXON Korea, is officially open for entries.

Calling all university students across the nation—including those currently enrolled or taking a break from their studies—this competition is your stage. It is designed to explore the fresh visual language bridging games and digital art while supporting the experimental spirit of the next generation of creators.

The theme is 'Freedom,' with a special focus on 'K-Culture.' If you can creatively reinterpret Korean cultural identity and aesthetics, you will be pleased to know that such works will receive bonus points.

You are free to submit any form of digital art, including pieces generated with AI. Whether it is concept art, 3D rendering, or illustration, the choice of medium is entirely yours.

Entries must be submitted online in A2 format (420×594mm), JPEG, CMYK, at 200dpi. It costs 30,000 won per entry, with a limit of three submissions per person. Make sure to get yours in by midnight on November 16, 2025.

Winning entries will be showcased on November 29, 2025, at the Lobby Hall of the 100th Anniversary Memorial Hall, Chung-Ang University. The Grand Prize winner will receive a certificate and 30,000 won, with many other awards to be handed out. Furthermore, these winners will be considered for the art exhibition at the Busan Indie Connect Festival 2026 (BIC 2026).

Professor Lee Eun-jin of Myongji College, who serves as the organizing committee chair and head of the Korea Game Society’s Culture and Arts division, noted, "This contest will be a creative arena for students to experiment with new visual worlds by combining AI, games, art, and K-Culture." She added, "Through this collaboration with NEXON, we hope to forge a path that expands the artistic horizons of the game industry and highlights the global potential of Korean culture."
