Com2uS Group employees and their families gathered to contribute to environmental conservation through the removal of invasive ecological species and plogging.

Com2uS and Com2uS Holdings announced on the 24th that they held an 'Invasive Species Removal' volunteer event at Seonyudo Park. The 'Com2gether' volunteer group, consisting of employees and their families, participated in the event held at Seonyudo Park in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The NGO 'Good Change' and the social cooperative 'Han-Gang' also joined the effort.

Participants focused on removing invasive species such as bur cucumber and Japanese hop around the ecological trails of Seonyudo Park. They uprooted the reproductive parts of these invasive plants and cleared tangled vines to secure growth space for native vegetation. Additionally, they conducted 'plogging' activities, picking up litter throughout the park. They improved the cleanliness of the area by collecting household waste, including single-use items, cigarette butts, and plastic scraps, particularly in hard-to-reach sections.

Located near the Yanghwa Bridge in Seoul, Seonyudo Park is the country's first environmental regeneration ecological park, created by repurposing an old water purification plant. It is home to over 200 species of plants in its aquatic botanical garden, greenhouse, and purification ponds, allowing visitors to observe various aquatic and native plants.

One employee who participated in the activity shared, "I was surprised to see so many invasive species on-site. I felt that consistent monitoring and maintenance are essential, and I would like to continue participating in such activities in the future."

Com2uS stated that this volunteer activity contributed to protecting the native vegetation of Seonyudo Park, improving habitats, and restoring urban biodiversity. The company plans to continue its commitment to the local community by expanding employee-participatory ESG programs for sustainable environmental conservation.
