The Game Culture Foundation and the Shingu Library Foundation have teamed up to launch a reading campaign featuring pro-gamer Lee 'Faker' Sang-hyeok. Under the slogan "The Secret to Victory: Reading," they aim to encourage teenagers to develop reading habits. The posters will be distributed extensively across public and school libraries nationwide.

Faker received the 'Reader Reader Award' at the Shingu Cultural Awards ceremony held on Thursday, the 23rd. This award is a special category honoring individuals who have contributed to the spread of reading culture in our society. Faker holds an impressive record, including seven world championship titles, ten domestic championship titles, and a gold medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. He has consistently stated in interviews that reading has been instrumental in his professional gaming career.

Faker remarked, "I started reading partly to improve my gameplay. Reading has significantly changed my attitude toward games and my perspective on life, and it is thanks to books that I am able to enjoy my career as a pro-gamer." Having consistently exerted a positive influence through various social campaigns, he was recognized with the Reader Reader Award. In his acceptance speech, he encouraged youth participation in reading, saying, "I hope that through me, more people will get closer to books and that a culture of reading will spread widely throughout our society."
