NEXON announced on the 30th that it has launched its new PvPvE extraction shooter, 'ARC Raiders', developed by its subsidiary Embark Studios, globally.

ARC Raiders is an extraction shooter set in a 'post-post-apocalyptic' future Earth. Players take on the role of a 'Raider', scavenging for resources while engaging with the mechanical lifeforms known as 'ARC', and must explore the world through cooperation or competition with other users.

During the 'Server Slam' test held on October 17th to check server load, the game recorded a peak of approximately 190,000 concurrent players on Steam and about 220,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch. It subsequently reached 3rd on the global Steam wishlist and 1st on the global sales charts.

The official release version features a structure where players move between the surface and underground to survive and explore. On the surface, players search for resources and battle the 'ARC' across four distinct zones: the Dam, the Buried City, the Space Base, and the Blue Gate. In the underground base 'Speranza', players can craft gear, trade with NPCs, and complete quests to enjoy life and progression content.

The 'ARC', the core hostile faction in the game, are autonomous machines that rule the surface and appear as a constant threat during the player's exploration. There are various types, including Ticks, Snitches, Reapers, and Rocketeers. Each has different attack patterns, and once they detect a player, they signal nearby 'ARC' to coordinate an attack. The 'Queen', a massive entity, is a boss-tier presence with powerful defense and attack capabilities, providing the highest difficulty combat experience during exploration.

Embark Studios is gaining attention as a next-generation shooter developer in the global market due to its technical prowess and unique game design, as proven by THE FINALS. Aleksander Grøndal, Executive Producer of ARC Raiders, stated, "We were able to further enhance the game's quality through the diverse feedback received from players around the world ahead of the launch," adding, "We thank everyone who has waited a long time for ARC Raiders and ask for your continued interest and anticipation for the official launch."

NEXON is offering up to 150,000 NEXON Hyundai Card points to Korean users who purchase an ARC Raiders Steam key on the official website using a NEXON Hyundai Card by November 14th. Additionally, in collaboration with SOOP, users who watch ARC Raiders category broadcasts from 8 PM to 2 AM on November 1st and 2nd will be eligible to receive prizes such as gaming mice, food delivery vouchers, and chicken gift certificates.
