Krafton’s PUBG: Battlegrounds has officially wrapped up its global esports spectacles, the PUBG Global Series (PGS) seasons 9 and 10.

Held at the Karisma Arena in Seremban, Malaysia, the tournaments spanned from 13 October to 19 October and 27 October to 2 November, respectively. The PGS serves as the ultimate proving ground for 24 elite teams worldwide, fighting not just for glory, but for the all-important tickets to the year-end PUBG Global Championship (PGC).

In PGS 9, the EMEA region’s Twisted Minds took the crown, relying on a masterclass of stable macro-play and relentless pressure in the endgame. Not to be outdone, Virtus.pro—also from the EMEA circuit—dominated PGS 10 with sheer brute force in skirmishes to close out the season. This confirms the four global series winners for this year: 17Gaming (China), BB Team (EMEA), Twisted Minds (EMEA), and Virtus.pro (EMEA).

The viewership metrics for both events are in. PGS 9 pulled in 5,592,121 total views with 2,118,898 hours watched and a peak concurrent viewership of 173,324. PGS 10 followed up with 4,998,650 views and 2,439,986 hours watched, peaking at 227,329 concurrent viewers. Combined, the two events amassed over 10.5 million views and roughly 4.55 million hours of watch time, broadcast over a staggering 4,600 hours.

With the curtain falling on PGS 10, the top 8 teams by PGS points have secured their spots in PGC 2025. This year-end finale is heading to Bangkok, Thailand, this December, featuring a total of 33 teams, including the top 8 PGS point holders, regional representatives, and the local wildcard team, FULL SENSE.

Expect a fierce 'Korea-China-Europe derby' at PGC 2025. South Korea's Gen.G Esports, DNF, T1, BGP, FN POCHEON, and AZLA are set to lock horns with global powerhouses like China's 17Gaming and 4AM, alongside EMEA’s heavyweights Twisted Minds and Virtus.pro. Also joining the fray are seasoned rosters including Team Falcons, FaZe Clan, and Team Liquid.

Notably, PGC 2025 is set to be a massive crossover event titled 'PUBG UNITED 2025,' combining both PUBG: Battlegrounds and PUBG Mobile. With both the PGC and PMGC held under one roof, fans can look forward to a packed schedule of esports action and side events.
