Kakao Games announced on the 6th that it has received re-certification for the '2025 Leisure-Friendly Company' award, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The 'Leisure-Friendly Certification' is a government-led program that recognizes companies and organizations that support employees in balancing work and leisure. The certification is subject to a renewal review every three years.

Kakao Games stated that it pursues a culture of 'immersion and leisure,' operating advanced leisure-friendly systems and programs to help employees maintain a healthy work-life balance. Following its initial certification in 2022, the company has successfully achieved re-certification this year.

Kakao Games introduced its 'Play Friday' system in 2018, which was expanded to a bi-weekly basis in 2021. Additionally, the company supports employees in enjoying leisure time and focusing on their work through various initiatives, such as starting work 30 minutes late on Mondays, leaving 1 hour and 30 minutes early on Fridays, and extending lunch hours.

Furthermore, the company provides 3.6 million won in annual self-development welfare points, the 'Awesome Jeju' program—which offers private accommodation in Jeju Island and additional leave—and a 'camping car rental' service. It also supports employees with breakfast services, snack bars, a massage room called the 'Cider Room,' and free professional counseling services covering health, finance, and legal matters.
