The release schedule for 'GTA 6', one of the most anticipated titles for next year, has been delayed once again. Originally slated for May, the launch has been pushed back by six months to November 19.

This news was announced on the 6th via Rockstar Games' official website. The developers stated, "We deeply apologize for adding more time to the wait for our fans. However, this extra development period is crucial to ensure the game reaches the top-tier polish you all deserve." They added, "The wait is a bit longer, but we are counting down the moments until you can return to the expansive Leonida state and the modernised Vice City."

GTA 6 was initially aiming for a release this autumn, only to be moved to May, and now it has been shifted another six months to November 19. The announcement coincided with Take-Two's earnings call. CEO Strauss Zelnick used the platform to emphasize Rockstar’s pursuit of perfection, highlighting the studio's history of high Metacritic scores.

Zelnick remarked, "With few exceptions, Rockstar Games' Metacritic scores consistently top 95. GTA 5 has served as the benchmark for the industry across three console generations. I genuinely believe it remains the most technically advanced title on the market even over a decade later. That is no accident."

When asked whether the date might slip again, Zelnick insisted, "It will not be delayed further," claiming, "We are confident in this date." As for the business impact of the delay, he expressed no concern. According to recent figures, mobile titles—led by Zynga—account for 46% of Take-Two's revenue, while Rockstar Games represents roughly 15%.

GTA 6 is set in Vice City, a playground inspired by Miami, Florida, following the journey of Jason and Lucia. Jason spent a rough youth working for drug runners, while Lucia is fresh out of prison after fighting for her family.
