Supercell’s real-time mobile shooter 'Brawl Stars' is launching a collaboration with Netflix’s hit original series 'Stranger Things'. Alongside this, a massive content update featuring a new Brawler and game modes has been added.

First, limited-edition skins capturing the atmosphere of Hawkins are now available. Six collaboration skins have been revealed: 'Eleven R-T', 'Eddie Draco', 'Hopper Bull', 'Will Gus', 'Scoops Ahoy Berry', and 'Dustin Nita'. Among these, the R-T and Nita skins are each released with two types of chromas.

Two new collaboration event modes have also been added. 'Upside Down Showdown' is a 10-player rogue-lite survival mode where players select one of their Brawler card decks and compete to finish in the top 4 across five stages. The final survivor earns various rewards, including the event currency 'Waffles'. The additional new mode, 'Hawkins Hunt', is a 5-stage cooperative boss battle where three players team up to challenge powerful bosses like 'Vecna', 'Demogorgon', and 'Soul Knight Frank'.

Beyond the two new modes, players can earn Waffles through Mega Quests and daily win rewards. Collected Waffles are used to open collaboration card packs in the event shop, which contain Brawler card decks consisting of Heroic, Mythic, and Legendary grade cards. Free Waffle rewards are provided daily in the shop during the event period.

During the 'Stranger Things' season, players can find four types of card packs in the Event Hub and check their entire Brawler card deck, collection status, and ongoing survival challenge progress at a glance. Survival counts per Brawler are displayed, and players who open 60 or more card packs will receive the special limited skin 'Dustin Nita' as a reward. Additionally, completing the entire event skin collection grants a Stranger Things collaboration limited spray.

The newly added Mythic Brawler 'Gigi' is an Assassin with a unique concept as a cursed ballerina doll. Her main attack, 'Pirouette Power-Up', allows her to spin and deal area damage to nearby enemies while instantly boosting her movement speed. Using her Super, 'Shadow Puppet', she teleports to a designated location after a short delay; using it a second time returns her to her original position, dealing additional damage to enemies left in the previous spot. Gigi’s unique trait is a mechanism that charges her Super gauge whenever she detects projectiles or melee attacks within a certain range, allowing for a new playstyle that predicts the flow of battle to dominate the field.

New 3v3 team modes, 'Trio Clean Out' and 'Trio Gem Grab', have also been added. 'Trio Clean Out' is a mode where four teams of three players compete simultaneously, and the first team to achieve 10 takedowns wins. 'Trio Gem Grab' expands on the rules of the original Gem Grab, with four teams competing to claim gems scattered across the map in a fierce strategic battle. Players on each team can check the real-time gem possession status, making teamwork and judgment the keys to victory.

Furthermore, the Hypercharge system has been overhauled, with damage, shield, and movement speed bonuses standardized to 5%, 5%, and 20% respectively. Balance adjustments were also implemented: 23 Brawlers, including 'Gigi', 'Pearl', and 'Maisie', received buffs, while 10 Brawlers, such as 'Mina', 'R-T', and 'Cordelius', received nerfs.

Following this, a new Brawl Pass season, 'Mechamas', will begin in December. In the Mechamas season, players can encounter various Mecha series skins, including 'Mecha Mandy' obtainable through the Brawl Pass, as well as 'Mecha Lotus Piper' and 'Mecha Jessie'. Additionally, unique skins such as 'Health Boy Mr. P', 'Pumping Melody', and 'Health Girl Charlie' are scheduled to be added.

A Supercell representative stated, "This update was prepared to combine the world of Brawl Stars with the charm of 'Stranger Things' to provide fans with a unique experience," adding, "We hope players create fun memories with Brawl Stars this winter season through the various new content."
