NetEase Games and its subsidiary, Everstone Studio, have announced that their wuxia open-world action-adventure RPG, Where Winds Meet, has surpassed 10 million pre-registrations. Alongside this milestone, a launch preview broadcast was held on the 10th, showcasing key content and features.

The broadcast provided the first look at the major regions and new gameplay mechanics included in the launch version. The footage focused on the 'Qinghe' region, where the player's journey begins, highlighting the exploration of initial areas featuring vast plains, serene temples, and hidden secrets.

The ancient capital of 'Kaifeng' was also introduced as a massive city inhabited by over 10,000 NPCs, creating a living world where each character's motives and stories are organically intertwined. Additionally, there are over 1,200 relics hidden throughout the game, allowing players to experience cultural heritage that blends actual history with legend.

The core weapon and martial arts customization system was also highlighted. Players can freely wield traditional weapons like swords and spears, as well as unique wuxia-style gear such as umbrellas and fans. The game features 12 martial arts styles and 23 ultimate techniques, with action choreography overseen by Tung Wai, a four-time winner of the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Action Choreography.

Furthermore, a 'non-P2W' policy was officially announced, ensuring that paid content does not affect game balance. The development team stated, "All new content in Where Winds Meet will be free to enjoy, and players can explore, fight, and craft their own stories in this world as they wish."

Following the official launch, continuous content expansion will be provided through seasonal updates. The first season, 'Trial of the Sword', will expand the main story and add new combat and adventure elements, followed by alternating story-driven and event-driven seasons.

Upon official launch, a 'Welcome Gift' will be provided to all players who log in. Additionally, an event is currently underway for pre-registered players, with a total of $2,000 in rewards to be given to 10 randomly selected winners.

Where Winds Meet will be released on PC and PS5 on the 15th, with pre-downloads available starting at 7:00 AM on the 13th.
