Ubisoft has unveiled the content for the upcoming season of the tactical FPS 'Rainbow Six Siege'. Launching on December 2, the fourth season of the game's 10th year is titled 'Operation Tenfold Pursuit'.

This season is packed with more than just a 10th-anniversary celebration; it includes operator remasters, fresh gear, and a series of map reworks and modernization efforts. On top of that, expect a limited-time 'Testing Grounds' mode, along with updates to playlists, player protection, ranked matchmaking, and the eSports tab.

Map modernization is a core pillar of 'Operation Tenfold Pursuit'. Since the shift in Year 10 last June, the team has been steadily refining the map pool. This season, the 'Fortress' map receives a complete overhaul, while 'Theme Park' and 'Skyscraper' receive modernization tweaks. Specifically, 'Fortress' is seeing improvements to its balance and player navigation flow.

Thatcher is getting a remaster, cementing his role as an elite support attacker dedicated to neutralizing electronics. His classic EMP grenades are being swapped for a new tool: the E.G.S. Disruptor. It is a two-handed, heavy-duty pulse launcher that can detect electronics through walls. You can fire this gadget at any surface to unleash an EMP shockwave, using its scanner to identify enemy tech. It even lets you see how long the disruption lasts on enemy gadgets. It’s perfect for clearing Bandit or Kaid batteries to assist your hard breachers, or for dismantling Aruni's 'Surya Gate' and Deimos's laser arrays.

Thatcher is also receiving a new primary, the PMR90A2 DMR. Like any decent DMR, it excels in mid-to-long-range skirmishes, capable of dropping a defender in just two or three shots. Its high penetration power is a useful tool for creating sightlines or altering the map geometry. Hibana, Capitão, and Nøkk will also have access to this new hardware. Note that it will be exclusive to Premium Battle Pass holders for the first two weeks before opening up to everyone else.

December marks a massive milestone: the 10th anniversary of 'Rainbow Six Siege'. To mark the occasion, a 'Wildcard' event will hit the 'House' map. You can explore the map to uncover hidden lore and historical nods to the game's decade-long journey. Just logging in during the event period will net you some commemorative rewards.

The 'Testing Grounds' is a new playlist designed for you to test upcoming features and provide feedback to the developers. This limited-time feature for 'Operation Tenfold Pursuit' is slated for January 2026, where they will experiment with a new system where operator movement speed is tied to armor weight. It will be available on both PC and consoles.

Beyond that, 'Operation Tenfold Pursuit' brings a general tuning pass for hard breachers and various defenders. Attackers like Hibana, Thermite, Maverick, and Ace are getting adjustments to their stats and gear. Meanwhile, the defensive side is also receiving updates, with changes lined up for Castle, Mute, and Aruni's capabilities and equipment loadouts.
