Krafton's Abyss of Dungeons—which began its life under the moniker 'Dark and Darker Mobile'—is shutting down. The game will officially end its services this coming January.

Abyss of Dungeons, the mobile dungeon crawler that underwent a rebrand from 'Dark and Darker Mobile' back in May, had a challenging run. It soft-launched across Indonesia, Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, the United States, and Canada on June 11, only to abandon plans for a full-blown global release by August.

The soft launch will conclude entirely on January 21 at 8:00. The development team issued a statement, noting, "After deep internal review regarding service quality, long-term operational viability, and global standards, we have reached the conclusion that we cannot continue to provide the high-tier gameplay experience we promised our adventurers."

A refund schedule has been announced. In-game purchases have been halted, and the window for refund requests opens on January 21, 2026, and runs through March 21. Eligible items include unused Platinum Coins purchased between the game's launch on February 5 and September 30, along with all items purchased from October 1 onwards.

Please note that free Platinum Coins, mileage, season coins, pass coins, and any Platinum Coins purchased and used prior to November 26 are non-refundable. You can submit your claims via the 'Submit a Request' section on the customer support page under the 'Service Termination Refund Request' category.
