Wargaming has announced that the acclaimed British actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be the face of the upcoming 'World of Tanks' Holiday Ops event.

In this campaign, Cumberbatch brings a fresh sense of leadership, characterised by the calm, strategic, and wise command style one might expect from the man himself.

The World of Tanks 2026 Holiday Ops event runs from 5 December until 12 January 2026. Cumberbatch will greet tankers in the Holiday Ops garage to assign special missions, allowing players to earn themed rewards, including unique voice lines.

"I am delighted to be part of this year's Holiday Ops event," remarked Cumberbatch. He added, "This game is all about strategy, teamwork, strategy, and thinking one step ahead. It has been a real pleasure working with the team to bring some festive spirit to the game. I wish all players a wonderful holiday season with this campaign."

The original Holiday Ops trailer has also been released. This year, it follows Sebastian, a shy office worker struggling to find the courage to talk to his crush, Sarah. Cumberbatch plays an eccentric and witty therapist, helping him face his fears through some rather unconventional training methods—reminding us that courage often begins in the most unexpected ways.
