Remedy Entertainment’s sequel to the action game 'Control' was revealed on the 12th at The Game Awards. The protagonist is Dylan Faden, the brother whom Jesse spent the entire first game desperately searching for and a key figure in the lore.

'Control Resonant' is set in Manhattan seven years after the events of the original game. Jesse Faden, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Control, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances. With the core of the Bureau gone, numerous supernatural phenomena have breached the containment of the 'Oldest House,' leading to a chain reaction of anomalies that have turned Manhattan into a disaster zone.

Dylan Faden, who was left in a slumber due to the Hiss infection in the first game, awakens and ventures out of the Oldest House. Manhattan is placed under lockdown, similar to the Oldest House in the previous game, and various factions scramble to seize control of the city. Players will navigate an open-world Manhattan, solving various problems and containing the disaster.

A morphing weapon similar to the 'Service Weapon' from the previous game makes an appearance. Dylan's weapon, the 'Aberrant,' transforms into melee weapons like a giant hammer, unlike the Service Weapon which shifted into various firearms. Mikael Kasurinen, Creative Director of Control Resonant, explained, "The Aberrant has several forms, all of which are specialized for close-quarters combat and visceral melee action."

Character progression and RPG elements have been enhanced compared to the previous title. In Control Resonant, players can freely explore Manhattan to develop Dylan, and in some story segments, the world changes based on player choices. Kasurinen stated, "We plan to offer more content than the Oldest House," adding, "Beyond the main quest, we have added various secret activities and side quests suitable for an open world."

Control Resonant is set to launch in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), with official support for the Korean language.
