Webzen announced on the 24th that they are expanding the cross-server competitive 'Abyss Plains' content in 'MU Monarch' and kicking off a festive Christmas event. This update pushes the floor limit for the Abyss Plains from the previous 4 floors up to 6, intensifying the competition between servers.

The Abyss Plains is a content where guilds from different servers compete in a single arena. Entry is gated by wing rank, and the newly added 5th and 6th floors require 5th and 6th-tier wings respectively. Players will encounter more powerful field bosses and monsters, and defeating them yields various rewards, including tier-specific relics, wing synthesis materials, and Excellent set gear.

Additionally, the reward tiers for the 'Icarus Box' have been expanded. Extra rewards are now provided beyond round 33, and players can exchange 'Icarus Exchange Fragments' obtained from the boxes for new profile icons, chat bubbles, and emoji items.

Meanwhile, Webzen is launching various seasonal events for Christmas. In the 'Monarch Marble Event,' players can roll dice to move across the board and obtain event items such as the Christmas Tree Transformation Ring and Marble Points. Points can be exchanged for exclusive items in the shop, and transformation rings can be synthesized into higher-tier items. Furthermore, special bosses like 'Santa Claus' and Golden Monsters will appear, providing 'Holiday Winter Boxes' and collection items.
