Japanese game developer Nihon Falcom has announced in its latest business plan that it is currently developing new titles for the Ys and Trails series.

On the 26th, Nihon Falcom released a document titled 'Matters Concerning Business Plan and Growth Potential,' outlining its future business strategy and growth plans. The announcement provides an overview of the company's internal scale, upcoming releases, and the development status of unannounced projects.

According to the announcement, Nihon Falcom aims to achieve further growth by increasing the number of game releases and creating new IP content. While the company has increased its annual release count to 4-5 titles by utilizing existing IP, the impact has been limited due to a reliance on ports. Consequently, the company has set a goal to increase the release of new titles from once a year to twice a year within the next three years.

Along with these goals, a list of seven upcoming titles was revealed. First, 'Trails in the Sky the 2nd' is in development for PS5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam. Additionally, seven titles were confirmed, including an unannounced 'Port Title L' for the Nintendo Switch 2, 'Port Title K', a new Tokyo Xanadu project 'New Title C', an unnamed 'New Unannounced Title D', and fresh entries in the Trails and Ys series, 'New Unannounced Title H' and 'New Unannounced Title I', respectively.

Meanwhile, Nihon Falcom also announced its goal to continue growth through various methods, such as creating new IP content and games by expanding the number of releases, and implementing multi-use and multi-platform strategies.
