Following the recent news regarding the closure of Hoyeon and Blade & Soul 2, it has been announced that the Japanese version of Blade & Soul will also be coming to an end.

NC Japan announced on the 6th via the official Blade & Soul Japan website that services for Blade & Soul and Blade & Soul Neo will terminate on March 11 at 11:00 PM. This news was also shared during a live broadcast hosted by NC Japan.

The Blade & Soul Japan operations team stated regarding the service termination, "We have decided to end the service as it has become difficult to continuously provide a stable operating environment and service quality," adding, "We will continue to do our best so that users can enjoy the game until the very end."

The service termination process begins with the regular maintenance on January 7, and a comprehensive service termination portal will open after the regular maintenance on the 14th. Following the start of the termination process, no further updates will be provided for both Blade & Soul and Blade & Soul Neo after January.

For existing coupons with an expiration date beyond March 11, the usage period will be collectively adjusted to expire at 11:00 PM on March 11. Other time-limited content will remain accessible until the service ends.

Meanwhile, NCSoft has been announcing a series of service terminations since the end of the year. On the 17th, the closure of the domestic Korean services for Hoyeon and Blade & Soul 2 was announced. These decisions were made after 1 year and 4 months for Hoyeon and approximately 4 years for Blade & Soul 2.
