Valve released the official 'Steam Detective Fest 2026' trailer on its YouTube channel on the 7th. The sale will run from 3:00 AM on January 13th to 3:00 AM on the 20th, highlighting various titles centered on interrogation, investigation, and deduction.

The trailer released on the 7th offers a glimpse into some of the participating games. These include 'Shadows of Doubt,' where players act as a private investigator in a dystopian world to solve crimes including murders; 'Return of the Obra Dinn,' which follows the investigation of a missing ship; and 'Sherlock Holmes The Awakened,' a collaboration between Sherlock Holmes and Lovecraftian horror.

Additionally, many games that focus on the fun of solving mysteries without necessarily featuring detectives or investigators are also included. These include the puzzle-filled mansion game 'Blue Prince,' the deep narrative-driven 'Disco Elysium - The Final Cut,' and 'Heavy Rain,' which follows characters on a journey to catch the Origami Killer.

Other titles featured in the trailer include 'Nobody Wants to Die,' 'The Rise of the Golden Idol,' 'Her Story,' and 'The Roottrees are Dead.' Players can look forward to discounts on a wide range of other games centered on detective work, investigation, and deduction.
