Joycity announced that it will conduct a global closed beta test for its upcoming football game, 'Freestyle Football 2', developed by its subsidiary Wure, starting on January 30.

Freestyle Football 2 is the successor to Joycity’s flagship 'Freestyle' series, with the studio aiming for an official launch in the first half of 2026.

The game adopts a one-player-one-character control scheme, maximizing the fun of 5v5 online team sports action centered on team play and tactical passing. Notably, it moves away from a structure where victory is determined by stats, instead building a fair competitive environment where success depends solely on the user's skill and tactics, combining passing, shooting, and defensive techniques.

This closed beta test will run from January 30 to February 2 on console platforms, specifically Xbox and PlayStation. The test aims to evaluate core gameplay elements, including match stability, character balance, and controls, with a global audience.

Joycity is offering various benefits to users during the test period. All participants will receive exclusive in-game items and one icon that can be used after the official launch of 'Freestyle Football 2'. Additionally, various events will be held through official Discord and social media channels, and the company plans to collect user feedback through community channels during the test.
