The Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA) is hosting the '2026 Busan Game Industry Promotion Support Briefing' on the 24th at 2:00 PM on the 5th floor of the Busan Culture Contents Complex.

BIPA oversees a range of initiatives, from local game industry cultivation to regional content development and the Busan Contents Academy. The upcoming session will detail their plans for indie talent incubation, content competitiveness funding, global market expansion, and specialist recruitment support.

They are significantly expanding game production support this year. By increasing the scale beyond last year's efforts, the agency aims to provide tiered support that spans everything from initial conceptual stages to long-term development projects.

Artificial Intelligence (AX) integration is also getting a major push. Through the 'Game Development AI Transformation (AX) Support Project,' BIPA intends to help developers integrate AI models into their titles, aiming to modernize the industry’s technical backbone and secure long-term sustainability.

Global market expansion support is also being strengthened. They are bolstering international reach by running emerging market scouting missions and subsidizing attendance at both domestic and international exhibitions. The agency is also refining existing programs to ensure fewer local firms fall through the cracks.

Kim Tae-yeol, President of BIPA, noted, "We’ve completely overhauled our support programs to better reflect the growth stages and real-world needs of our local game companies," adding that they remain committed to crafting effective solutions to respond to this rapidly shifting industry landscape.
