Kakao Games announced on the 26th that it has been selected as an 'Industry Mover' in the 2025 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) released by global credit rating agency S&P Global. With this, Kakao Games has proven its sustainable management capabilities, becoming the only South Korean game company to be included in this grade.

The CSA is a global ESG evaluation index that comprehensively assesses a company's Environmental (E), Social (S), and Governance (G) performance, selecting and announcing excellent companies by industry each year. Kakao Games earned the 'Industry Mover' grade, which is awarded to companies with the largest year-on-year score improvement. Out of approximately 9,200 participating companies, only 49 received this grade, and Kakao Games achieved a score 32% higher than the previous year. The company was selected as an 'Industry Mover' in the Interactive Media, Services & Home Entertainment (IMS) industry.

Furthermore, Kakao Games was simultaneously listed as a 'Sustainability Yearbook Member,' a distinction given to companies that rank within the top 15% of their industry and are within 30% of the industry's top score. This result marks Kakao Games as the only South Korean game company to be selected, demonstrating its top-tier sustainable management capabilities in the industry.

The company received high scores across all ESG areas in this evaluation. In the Environmental (E) sector, it was positively evaluated for strengthening its environmental management system through climate change risk analysis and obtaining international standard environmental management system certifications. In the Social (S) sector, its improvements in policies related to personal information protection, user rights protection, and human rights management, as well as the advancement of its overall operational policies and management systems, were recognized. In terms of Governance (G), the company was evaluated as excellent for strengthening risk response capabilities and governance transparency by establishing integrated risk and internal audit systems.

A Kakao Games representative stated, "Through this selection as an 'Industry Mover' and 'Sustainability Yearbook Member,' Kakao Games' ESG management capabilities have been recognized on the global stage." They added, "We will continue to practice ESG management in various fields to strengthen our global-level ESG competitiveness."

Meanwhile, Kakao Games has been recognized for its consistent ESG activities. Previously, it achieved an integrated 'A' grade for three consecutive years in the ESG evaluation announced by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability in 2025. Additionally, it was the first South Korean game company to achieve an 'AAA' rating in the global ESG evaluation by MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International).
