Publisher 4Divinity and developer Leap Studio have announced that their action roguelite, Realm of Ink, will officially launch as a V1.0 release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC this coming May 26. Expect a striking fusion of Chinese ink-wash aesthetics and 2.5D graphics, all wrapped in a combat system that is as swift as it is sharp.

The story follows 'Red', a swordswoman trapped within a world written in ink. After discovering that her existence is merely a pre-destined script, she sets out to defy fate and rewrite her own story. The game has already garnered a 'Very Positive' reception during its Steam Early Access period. Leap Studio has been busy polishing the experience with balance tweaks and seasonal events, all of which will be bundled into the final console and PC V1.0 release.

In a rather cheeky crossover, the developers are teaming up with 91Act to bring 'Oread'—a boss from BlazBlue Entropy Effect—into the fold as a playable character. The world itself is a vivid tapestry of Eastern fantasy, inspired by Chinese folklore, spanning four distinct regions. Whether through combat with over 20 mythical beasts or deep narrative interactions, you have the chance to break the cycle and carve out your own ending.
