NetEase Games and Codemasters have teamed up for a cheeky little collaboration, bringing the legendary Initial D into their mobile racer, Racing Master.

The event kicks off on the 26th and runs until 22 April. If you've been living under a rock, Initial D is that quintessential youth manga about illegal street racing that captured hearts globally. It’s revered by petrolheads for its obsessive detail regarding automotive mechanics and the life of amateur drivers.

As part of this crossover, four iconic steeds from the series are joining the garage. You’ll be able to get your hands on the Toyota AE 86, Honda NSX-R, Mazda FD3S, and the Nissan Skyline GT-R. The latter, the Nissan Skyline GT-R, can even be claimed for free by participating in the in-game event.

The developers have also cooked up some rather nostalgic modes to tickle your fancy. You can test your mettle in the 'Tofu Delivery Drift'—which demands pixel-perfect drifting—or take on the 'Gum Tape Death Match,' where you'll race with one hand taped to the wheel, just like in the anime.
