VIC GAME STUDIOS and KADOKAWA have announced a game adaptation of the TV anime 'Sentenced to Hero'. The companies officially unveiled the project, titled 'Sentenced to Hero: Game of the GODDESS', on March 30 at AnimeJapan 2026.

Along with the announcement, a teaser key visual was released. The game is currently in development and is based on the world and characters of the original anime, 'Sentenced to Hero'.

The original anime 'Sentenced to Hero' follows the story of Gyro Vorvartz, a former Holy Knight Commander sentenced to become a hero, who leads a penal squad of misfits and encounters Theorita, the Goddess of the Sword, on the front lines of battle. The anime has been airing globally since early January 2026.

Original author Rocket Sanghoe expressed his thoughts, saying, "I am very happy that the world of 'Sentenced to Hero', which we all created together, is being adapted into a game. I believe it will offer a charm different from the novel and anime, so I am looking forward to it just as one waits for a new flavor of ramen!" Mephisto, the original character designer, also shared his excitement: "I was truly surprised when I first heard the news that 'Sentenced to Hero' was being made into a game! Just imagining the characters I designed coming to life in the game makes my heart race. I am looking forward to it!"
