Daewon Media Game Lab has teamed up with BROCCOLI to release the official Korean version of 'The Witch Overlord' (Original title: Etranger Overlord) for the Nintendo Switch on the 16th. The game is an action-adventure title where you play as the villainess Etranger, who finds herself in hell and is hell-bent on climbing the social ladder.

'The Witch Overlord' is pitched as a 'Sushi Lane' musical action-adventure game. You’ll be digging into combat stages packed with gimmicks, party management, weapon and character upgrades, and 'lane effects' triggered through deck-building. As the disgraced villainess, your goal is to recruit allies, crush your foes, and conquer hell itself to make a grand comeback.

The battle stages feature a spinning, mystical 'Sushi Lane' that dishes out health items, bombs, machine guns, and gravity devices. You need to wipe out enemies to keep the lane active while navigating mission-specific gimmicks. With over 10 playable characters, you can customise your crew and gear to suit the specific lane effects of each stage. It’s all about leading your squad, raiding enemy lines, and quelling demon rebellions to secure a peaceful life.

The events are fully voiced and lean heavily into the language of musical theatre. You’ll be laughing, crying, and singing along as part of the Etranger legion in this unique musical adventure. As you progress, you'll unlock multiplayer stages for up to four players. Thanks to online cross-platform support, you can dive into this chaotic fun with friends locally or online.

The official Korean version of 'The Witch Overlord' is out now on Nintendo Switch, and there's a free demo available that carries over to the main game.
