The '2026 National University Student Digital Art Contest,' hosted by the Korea Game Society and NEXON Games, is now accepting entries until midnight on May 10.

This competition aims to unearth the next generation of digital artists who possess both creative flair and technical prowess, providing a stage for students to showcase their artistic imagination. It is open to all students, including those on leave, from universities and equivalent institutions across the country, with both AI and non-AI categories available for submission.

We are accepting all forms of digital art, ranging from concept art to 3D rendering. A 'K-Culture' bonus of 1 point will be awarded to entries that incorporate Korea's unique cultural values and identity.

Winners will be announced on May 18, with an exhibition scheduled for May 30 at the Korea University of Technology and Education. The grand prize winner will receive a certificate and a prize of 300,000 KRW, while two top prize winners and one recipient of the NEXON Games award will each receive 200,000 KRW, and four excellence award winners will receive 100,000 KRW each.

All winning entries will be considered for the BIC 2026 Art Exhibition held in Busan next August, with a final selection process to determine the featured works. Furthermore, the organizers are planning a separate exhibition and the production of a catalogue for the winning pieces.

This contest is hosted and organized by the Korea Game Society, NEXON Games, and the National University Student Digital Art Contest Organizing Committee, with support from the Korea AI Game Association, the Advanced Institutes of Convergence Technology Association, Naver OGQ Market, and Anchor Node.

Organizing Committee Chair Professor Lee Eun-jin of Myongji College stated, "We hope this contest serves as a platform for the creative ambitions of student digital artists," adding, "By embracing both AI and non-AI works, we expect to identify the fresh currents and potential shaping the future of Korean digital art."
