The 'Black Market', one of the core features in 'Vampir', underwent a renewal on April 29th. While developers promised better rewards by adding new items and currencies, you might find yourself staring at an unchanged screen when you head to the Black Market page. It’s enough to leave any player feeling a bit bewildered. However, the new rewards aren't actually arriving until next week. I’ve broken down everything you need to know below.

Q. What exactly has changed with the Black Market?
A. We have introduced new goods and currencies.

The Black Market is a feature where you trade items requested by a merchant for 'Dark Merchant Coins'. Since April 29th, a new currency called 'Dark Merchant Gold' and the items required to obtain it have been added. You can check the new items introduced as of April 29th under the 'Crafting - Materials - Black Market' tab.

The list includes six items: 'Dark Merchant Certificate', 'Artifact of Dark Energy', 'Hellstone of Dark Energy', 'Eternal Stone of Dark Energy', 'Equipment Blueprint of Dark Energy', and 'Gaze of Dark Energy'. Each requires specific crafting materials. Notably, the key ingredients for the 'Hellstone of Dark Energy' (Hell Ore) and the 'Equipment Blueprint of Dark Energy' (Hero-grade Equipment Blueprint) don't have clear acquisition paths in-game. You obtain these by dismantling 'Hero-grade Blueprints' and fragments.

The real headache is the Hell Ore. Unlike the Hero-grade Equipment Blueprints, it isn’t immediately obvious what needs to be dismantled to get your hands on it.The details were hidden in the April 29th update notes. You must dismantle 'Blazing Hell Fury', 'Blazing Hell Patience', or 'Crimson Monarch's Ruthlessness', which are rewards from 'World Boss - Gehenna - Gehenna Boss - Clan Missions'. Dismantling yields 2, 1, and 5 pieces respectively. You can also snag these from the marketplace if you're feeling flush. While these new items are ostensibly for the Black Market, they are currently unusable—let me explain why.

Q. I went to the Black Market menu, but the exchange items haven't changed?
A. The renewed items will be available for trade starting May 4th.

I’m sure many of you are eager to craft these new items immediately, but hold your horses. You can't exchange them just yet. The Black Market inventory resets weekly, and the update notes explicitly state that the renewal will only be reflected during the reset on May 4th at 5:00 AM. If you skipped the fine print, you’re certainly not alone.

Even if you can't trade yet, you can preview the goods available for 'Dark Merchant Gold' under the 'Shop - Exchange - Dark Merchant Gold' tab. There are two types: 'Dark Merchant Equipment Summon' and 'Dark Merchant Sephirah Summon'. Each costs 3 Gold coins, with a weekly limit of 25 for equipment and 5 for Sephirah. The equipment summon grants random T1-T4 Rare or T1-T3 Hero gear. Since these can drop already enhanced, it’s a cheeky way to boost your combat power. You’ll need 90 Dark Merchant Gold to clear the shop weekly. Keep grinding those materials while we wait for the final exchange rates on May 4th.

Q. Where can I find Inscription Books?
A. They are available from the Eternal Coin Merchant and the Diamond Shop.

Introduced on April 22nd, the new 'Absolute Discipline' feature requires 'Inscription Books' rather than the 'Discipline' consumed by Trinity. At level 1, you need 3 Inscription Books, and the 'Additional Effect' grade scales based on the lowest grade of your options. To progress to the next stage, you must upgrade the previous Discipline's effect to Hero grade.

You can buy Inscription Books from the town's 'Eternal Coin Merchant' or via the Diamond Shop. The merchant refreshes weekly, while the shop has no purchase limits. Diamonds cost 30 per book, which adds up. You can only trade for 50 books per week via Eternal Coins, at a cost of 450 per book. That’s 22,500 Eternal Coins a week—quite a tall order, and certainly more than you'll get from daily quests alone.

Given the competition for resources like 'Eternal Portrait Restorer', the average player will struggle to buy all the Inscription Books. You only earn about 1,000 Diamonds a week, and they have plenty of other uses. My advice? Don't break the bank; manage your expectations and buy only what your current coin and diamond stash allows.
