Lazy Turtle Games and Polden Publishing have released the Steam demo for their co-op fantasy adventure, Meowgic. In this title, you step into the paws of a feline wizard, shouting actual incantations into your microphone to unleash magic. The demo went live today, May 1st, at 00:00 KST.

The game takes place in a fantasy world filled with floating islands, magical artifacts, and monster-infested caves. Players embark on a journey with friends, traveling by hot air balloon to recover musical instruments lost from a magic academy.

The standout feature of Meowgic is its 'Voice Magic' system. Players can trigger spells like Fireball, Tornado, or Sky Strike by speaking commands into their microphone. The game emphasizes fun interactions fitting the feline theme, such as meowing to revive fallen teammates.

The game supports co-op for up to four players. Players work together to move treasures or save friends from falling off floating platforms using Levitation spells. Since magic affects both enemies and allies, players can experience a mix of teamwork and chaos. The demo also includes a new 3v3 arena mode, where users compete against other teams of cat students to determine the strongest team.

In the Steam demo, players can learn basic spells at the Cat Academy and play the first stage solo or in co-op with up to four players. Additionally, players can obtain the first story objective, the 'Golden Harp', learn and purchase various spells, customize their cats, and participate in the 3v3 PvP arena mode.
