Arthdal Chronicles: Three Factions (hereinafter Arthdal Chronicles) is celebrating its 2nd anniversary with a massive update, introducing the new Trial Dungeons. With a plethora of options available, you might be scratching your head over where to start. Fret not, as the folks at KookminTree have crunched the data to help you prioritise your runs.

Q. What exactly is a Trial Dungeon?
A. It is a new PvE mode designed strictly for solo play.

The developers have added a solo 'Trial' stage into the existing party dungeon system. Clearing these earns you Artifacts and Dream Stone Summoning Tickets. You get 5 base points per week, with a capacity to top up to 50. Keep in mind, these points reset every Monday at 6 AM, so use them or lose them.

Trials range from stage 1 to 8, which you must set before entering. You have to clear the previous stage to unlock the next one. First-time clears guarantee specific rewards, while subsequent runs rely on RNG.

Q. Which stages should I prioritise?
A. Focus on clearing stages 1–4 of the Temple of Crimson Flame first.

There are five dungeons in total, from the Hermit's Waterfall to the Temple of Crimson Flame. If your combat power is up to scratch, head straight to the Temple of Crimson Flame. Clearing stages 1–4 once each nets you a Hero-grade Mysterious Instrument, Statue, Lantern, and Fan, plus a tidy 27 Dream Stone Summoning Tickets.

Once that’s done, clear stages 1–8 of the Hall of Frigid Cold for its one-time limited Artifacts. Stages 5–8 also grant Hero-grade items, so they are worth a look. If you end up with duplicates, dismantle them into Artifact Refinement Stones. After securing these one-time rewards, just farm stage 4 of the Temple of Crimson Flame on repeat.

If your combat power is feeling a bit 'underwhelming', check the recommended stats for each stage before diving in. While these are soloable, don't expect auto-battle to do the heavy lifting if you're close to the minimum requirement; you’ll need to dodge boss mechanics manually.

Q. Where do I find Artifact Enhancement Stones and Refinement Stones?
A. Through completion rewards and by dismantling unwanted Artifacts.

Artifact Enhancement Stones drop directly from dungeon runs. Since they are somewhat scarce, try to stick to +1 enhancements where the success rate is 100%, and aim for +3 or +7 incrementally. Refinement Stones come from dismantling artifacts; once you’ve geared your four slots, scrap the rest.

Because Refinement Stones are a precious commodity, aim for two optimal stats on your Hero-grade gear. Recommended stats include PvE Attack, Basic Attack Damage, Skill Damage, and PvE Crit Resistance for Statues and Instruments. For Lanterns and Fans, look for PvE Crit Damage and PvE Accuracy. If you're feeling feisty for PvP, crowd control and status effect resistance are your best bets.
