Game of Thrones: Kingsroad officially launched on May 21st, and while the influx of event rewards is generous, it has created a rather annoying bottleneck: your inventory is bursting at the seams.

The developers did try to listen to the feedback from the initial PC release by bumping up the base slots by 10, but let’s be honest—between the endless event loot and the items you pick up while exploring, it’s still not enough. However, there’s no need to suffer in silence. KookminTree has put together a guide to help you clear up that clutter and avoid future headaches.

Expand in this order: General, Equipment, then Materials

I’d suggest prioritizing your 'General' inventory first, then 'Equipment', and finally 'Materials'. The general bag fills up with all sorts of bits and bobs, and you really don't want to find yourself unable to claim rewards because you’ve run out of space.

Honestly, the 'Equipment' and 'Equipment Materials' bags aren’t as urgent. If you keep up with your set research, your secondary equipment slots should stay fairly clear. As for materials, you won't really need the space until you start pulling in 'Equipment Parts' during the late game, so don't sweat it just yet.

Shop at the Occupied Zones

The easiest way to expand is by burning 'Dragon Gold'. It costs about 30 Dragon Gold per slot, but since that currency is rare and has plenty of other uses, you’re probably better off saving it.

Instead, I recommend using the in-game currency, 'Copper'. Once you clear out an 'Occupied Zone' on the map, that area is liberated, and you can start trading with the local merchants. In the early-game area of Winterfell, for instance, you can grab 15 extra slots for 72,000 Copper. Just keep in mind that these expansion tools can add up to 40 slots per bag type.

If you manage to hunt down expansion tools from every Occupied Zone merchant, you’ll net a total of 45 extra slots. You can find the locations and shop inventories for all currently implemented zones below.

Still short on space? Use Regional Coins

If you’ve emptied out the NPC shops and still find yourself cramped, it’s time to dip into your 'Regional Coins'. You earn these by grinding through repeatable content within specific regions—currently, you have the 'Northern Coin' and 'Reach Coin' varieties.

You can find these shops by navigating to [Shop] - [Exchange] - [Regional Coins]. Each regional shop lets you buy up to 5 expansion tools per character. At 50 coins a pop, you’ll need 250 coins to clear out the full stock.
