MapleStory Director Kim Chang-seop has been promoted to Deputy Head of the Maple Division. He will oversee the entire MapleStory IP, succeeding Won-ki Kang, while continuing to serve in his current role as Director.

The Maple Division is the core department responsible for the production and operation of all games utilizing the brand. Following the departure of former head Won-ki Kang in March, Nexon Korea co-CEO Dae-hyun Kang has been leading the division. Deputy Head Kim will work in tandem with co-CEO Kang to enhance the brand value and create synergies across various spin-offs, including MapleStory M and MapleStory R: Evolution.

Since taking office as the general director of MapleStory in 2023, Kim has actively communicated with players through various online broadcasts and events. He is credited with significantly improving MapleStory's performance by reflecting player feedback, enhancing user convenience, and introducing large-scale content updates.
