Riot Games has unveiled the ticket pre-sale schedule and methods for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship.

Through its 'Fan First Authentication' system, Riot Games aims to block bots used for fraudulent ticket purchases, prioritising genuine fans. This system grants early access to ticket sales exclusively to fans who register their Riot ID during the pre-registration period. To complete the authentication, the email address must match the one registered with the Riot ID. Pre-registration will be open for approximately one month, from June 2nd, 00:00 KST to July 1st, 00:00 KST.

The pre-sale for fans who have completed the 'Fan First Authentication' will commence on July 23rd, 00:00 KST. General ticket sales for the public are slated to begin two days later, on July 25th, 00:00 KST.

The World Championship, the pinnacle international tournament of League of Legends esports, marks the end of the year, with a total of 19 teams from six regions vying for the championship trophy. Three teams each will hail from Korea (LCK), North America (LCS), Asia-Pacific (LCP), EMEA (LEC), and China (LPL). Brazil (CBLOL) will send two teams. An additional slot for the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) champion and one extra slot for a second-place region will bring the total to 19 teams competing in the 2026 World Championship.

The 2026 World Championship kicks off on October 15th, local time, for a month-long spectacle. The Play-In Stage will take place from October 15th to 18th at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, California. The Swiss Stage and Knockout Stage will unfold at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, north of Dallas, Texas, from October 23rd to November 8th. The grand finale is set to take place on November 14th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
