KeSPA has teamed up with the Korea University Sejong Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation to inject some much-needed industry relevance into esports education. The two sides have agreed to bridge the gap between stuffy university curricula and the gritty reality of the professional scene to nurture genuine talent.

This partnership was formalised at the 2026 E-KUS (Esports Korea University Sejong) esports forum, held right on the Korea University Sejong campus. KeSPA Secretary General Kim Cheol-hak and Director Choi Doo-ho were present to sign the deal, which focuses on launching project-based courses and developing collaborative programmes to keep students ahead of the curve.

Secretary General Kim Cheol-hak remarked, "This deal is a significant stepping stone to fostering talent and driving the industry forward alongside the Korea University Sejong Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation." He added, "We aim to cultivate versatile professionals with both technical prowess and field experience, ensuring that the creative fruits of their academic labour actually benefit the industry at large."

The forum held alongside the signing saw plenty of industry chatter and panel debates, complete with brand booths for attendees to wander through. As for the hosts, the Korea University Sejong Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation continues to back the Department of International Sports, pushing various initiatives led by their esports project team, E-KUS.
