H2 INTERACTIVE has announced that pre-orders for the physical PlayStation 5 version of the action racing game STAR WARS: Galactic Racer will kick off on September 18, with the official launch slated for October 6. Developed by Fuse Games, the physical distribution of STAR WARS: Galactic Racer is handled by Secret Mode and PLAION.

Set against the backdrop of an unauthorized racing circuit in the lawless Outer Rim of the STAR WARS galaxy, the game delivers run-based, high-stakes racing. Set amidst the chaos of the Galactic Empire's collapse and the New Republic's struggles to rebuild, underground syndicates chasing gambling, entertainment, and glory have flourished, giving birth to the unauthorized racing circuit known as the Galactic League.

You step into the boots of Shade, a lone racer chasing vengeance and glory, to enter the Galactic League. Armed with neither the Force nor prophecies, but solely with driving skill, strategy, and the grit to rise again after failure, the driver must survive fierce competition to challenge for the title of the galaxy's top racer. Piloting various repulsorcrafts such as landspeeders, speeder bikes, skimmer speeders, and podracers, players can tear through circuits across the galaxy while ramming or destroying rival vehicles.

Key features include high-stakes races with massive prize pools, as well as the ability to build and customise your own repulsorcraft. Each repulsorcraft features distinct physics and play styles, allowing players to select a vehicle that matches their driving style and tune its performance and aesthetics to gain an edge in the competition. Furthermore, solo players can experience a story-driven campaign revolving around shifting alliances.

As victories accumulate in the Galactic League, choices and race results shape the journey ahead and future outcomes. Aside from the story campaign, the game supports online PvP competition for up to 12 players, allowing racers to prove their mettle, boost their reputation to climb the ranks, and earn various rewards. Early birds who pre-order will receive a repulsorcraft livery and a multiplayer mode-exclusive player banner as pre-order DLC.
