H2 Interactive announced on September 18 that the PC and PS5 Korean editions of the fantasy-themed JRPG 'Edge of Memories', developed by Midgar Studio, are officially scheduled for release on November 5. Pre-orders for the PS5 digital version kick off today.

Edge of Memories drops you right into a world utterly ravaged by an unprecedented plague. When the Avaris continent—once a safe haven from the blight—faces the threat of corruption, the wandering protagonist steps up to fight back against a formidable power corrupting flora, fauna, and humanity alike. Wielding the ability to control this deadly plague, the protagonist stands as the single, shining hope to bring this apocalypse to a screeching halt and restore peace to Avaris.

Combat unfolds in real-time action, throwing the protagonist into fierce battles alongside companions including a mentor and a shaman prince from a lost tribe. You can string together rapid, heavy attacks with destructive skills to pull off flashy combos, while companions play a crucial role in deciding whether you taste victory or defeat. As the story progresses, even previously visited areas undergo changes, revealing fresh paths and locations. You can hop onto the back of Nekaru, a loyal feline companion, to sprint across the continent quickly, or use agile acrobatics to explore areas previously out of reach. Built in Unreal Engine 5 with a distinctly Japanese anime-inspired art style, the visuals pull you right into the experience.

Every quest weaves organically into the overarching narrative, adding real depth to the lore, characters, and interpersonal relationships. Journeying through a continent populated by nomadic civilisations displaced by the corruption, you will cross paths with various figures, unlocking new narrative threads through those very encounters.
