The World of Warcraft World-Soul Saga, which kicked off in 2024, is coming to a close with the upcoming expansion, The Last Titan. A teaser trailer hinting at a blizzard-swept Northland and the arrival of a massive Titan was unveiled at BlizzardCon.

Blizzard dropped new World of Warcraft details at the BlizzardCon 2026 Opening Ceremony held on September 13. Following the ongoing Midnight, the new expansion and grand finale of the World-Soul Saga, The Last Titan, finally made a rare appearance.

World of Warcraft Game Director Ion Hazzikostas stated, "It will be the culmination of over 20 years of Warcraft history and lay the groundwork for what comes next." The director added, "The Last Titan is not simply a story about returning to the Northland, but a reflection on a generation's worth of your courage and achievements."

In the one-minute-and-thirty-second video, players can catch glimpses of major Northland regions like Dragonblight and Icecrown Citadel, alongside a Titan casting a colossal shadow. Judging by the locations shown in the trailer, the Titan is presumed to have walked the Path of the Titans, which is currently implemented in the game. New details regarding The Last Titan will be revealed early next year.

A new trailer for Midnight Patch 12.2, Erosion of Light, was also showcased. Accompanied by a sinister laugh, the trailer spotlighted Xal'atath as the character attempts to claim Azeroth's world-soul. Director Hazzikostas remarked, "If Xal'atath gets the world-soul, it's literally checkmate," while encouraging the player base by noting, "There are plenty of tough challenges ahead, but we trust that you can pull it off."
