Kakao Games announced on the 25th that it has opened the official teaser page for 'Dokkaebi World', a new MMORPG currently under development by Supercat.

The teaser page features an intro video inspired by traditional Korean 'Munjado' (folk art painting), showcasing the game's distinctively Korean aesthetic. It then transitions into a festival scene, highlighting the vibrant lives of the game's characters.

A teaser trailer was also released. It expresses the developer's intent to break away from the standard genre conventions of 3D medieval-style MMORPGs and establish a unique direction for Dokkaebi World.

The key visual revealed alongside the teaser page captures the Korean sentiment and worldview of 'Dokkaebi World'. Centered around a massive sacred tree, it depicts various characters and folkloric entities coexisting, illustrating a world where they live together rather than just engaging in combat.

Dokkaebi World is a mobile MMORPG that emphasizes flexible growth without rigid class boundaries, diverse skill combinations, and clan-based cooperative content. It will feature a 2.5D hybrid graphic style that combines 2D pixel-art characters with 3D backgrounds, along with a highly flexible skill deck-building system. The game is aiming for a Q3 release this year, with pre-registrations opening in July. An online showcase will be held in August to reveal further details regarding its content and service.
