In the wild, secondary weapons are often a bit of a liability due to limited ammo, sluggish fire rates, and a narrow hit box. However, within the 'Beyond the Wall' mode, those stage-specific buffs turn the secondary weapon into a viable, primary powerhouse. The real beauty here is the safety of distance; you can go full offensive and ignore most of the enemies' telegraphed patterns.

It is not all sunshine and rainbows, though. There are two notable drawbacks: first, if you fail to grab the essential buffs, the build falls apart immediately. Second, it lacks the raw DPS to handle the highest difficulty tiers. Still, for a bit of unconventional fun, it is well worth a spin.

Essential Buffs and Relics

The cornerstone is the Rare-grade buff, 'Bone Crafted from Blood'. Normally, secondary weapons are hampered by limited ammo, but with this, you swap bullets for HP. Pair this with a decent health regeneration effect, and you effectively have infinite ammo at your disposal.

To patch up the lack of raw damage, 'Deadly Shot' is your go-to. Even at the Common grade, it turns every hit into a critical strike. Since the effect applies exclusively to ranged attacks, it is a match made in heaven for this secondary weapon-focused setup.

For the rest, we recommend the Legendary 'Demolitionist' and the Common 'Quick Aim'. 'Demolitionist' buffs ranged damage and turns standard shots into explosive ones, meaning you do not even need to aim with precision; just fire near the target and watch the fireworks. Couple this with 'Quick Aim' to boost your aiming speed, and the quality-of-life improvements become significant.

When picking relics, focus strictly on raw attack power or damage multipliers. Be warned: anything related to Rage, active skills, or combos will be wasted here. As a side note, if you see the 'Woven Basket' relic, which grants an extra reroll, snap it up. It is incredibly useful for hunting down those essential buffs mentioned earlier.
