Pokémon Korea is marking the occasion of the Pokémon 30th anniversary by partnering with local entities such as the Busan Transportation Corporation, the Busan Bus Transportation Business Association, Busan Facilities Corporation, BEXCO, and the Suyeong-gu Office to host a massive festival titled 'Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 in Busan'. Built around the theme of a 'Pokémon Vacance', the festivities are set to take place across the entire city from the 17th of this month through August 9, with a program focused primarily on the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

During the festival, photo zones will be set up at the Busan Station plaza, and five subway stations—Busan Station, Beomnaegol, Jeonpo, Gwangan, and Centum City—will host Pokémon Trading Card Game exhibitions and a stamp rally. Participants who collect stamps can receive souvenirs such as sun visors, QR ticket holders, or clear files at the L-Arena Plaza at Lotte Department Store's Busan main branch. Additionally, special paid QR tickets will be sold within the stations, and Pokémon-themed trains will run on subway lines 1 and 2.

'Pokémon School' sessions, where visitors can learn the Pokémon Trading Card Game, will be held at Jeonpo, Gwangan, and Centum City stations, as well as Starfield City Myeongji and the Toy Kingdom Busan branch. Mini-game zones will be available at Jeonpo, Gwangan, and Centum City stations, and the Lotte Department Store Busan main branch. Themed buses will be introduced on Busan city bus routes 100, 17, and 3, and photo zones will be installed at the Myeongji Transfer Center, Olympic Intersection Transfer Center, and the National Maritime Museum bus stop in Yeongdo.

On the 25th, a Pokémon drone show will take place at Gwangalli Beach at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, featuring a large-scale performance against the night sky. Following this, on August 1, the Pokémon Trading Card Game Battle Tournament, co-hosted with the Busan Transportation Corporation, will be held at Hall 2B of BEXCO Exhibition Center 1.
