Pearl Abyss has brought down the walls between platforms in their open-world action-adventure title, Crimson Desert, by introducing a cross-save feature. This addition means players can now take their character from Pywel anywhere, continuing the journey without being tethered to a single piece of hardware.

Cross-save is a system that allows save data to be shared across different gaming platforms. Players can activate this feature by navigating to the in-game save menu and selecting the cross-save settings. From there, they can access a dedicated page via a provided web link or QR code.

Following the instructions on the dedicated page, players can link their game platform accounts. Supported platforms include PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and Epic Games. Players can also link multiple accounts from the platforms they use to manage them in an integrated manner.

Meanwhile, Pearl Abyss announced their Q3 update roadmap for Crimson Desert back in June, which focuses on adding new content, expanding existing systems, and improving the gameplay experience. Content updates based on this plan will be rolled out sequentially through September.
