After what feels like an eternity of speculation, the details regarding 'D.Mon', a fellow pilot in Hana Song's MEKA squad, have finally emerged from the shadows.

Blizzard Entertainment pulled the curtain back on the 53rd Overwatch hero, D.Mon, during the EWC Overwatch Champions Series Midseason Championship held in Paris on the 3rd. D.Mon is slated to join the roster for Season 4, which takes on a distinctly Korean theme.

The 19-second teaser released on the 3rd shows D.Mon piloting a red meka and engaging Wrecking Ball, while also giving us a glimpse of the full MEKA squad in action. You can catch the full hero trailer when it drops on YouTube on Friday, August 7th, at 1:00 AM (KST).

D.Mon, known by the name 'Yuna Lee', serves as the leader of the MEKA unit—the same South Korean defense organisation as D.Va. Since the character lore was first teased back in 2018, fans have noted that D.Mon shares a background as a former professional gamer and operates as a Tank hero, mirroring D.Va's profile.

D.Mon pilots a meka dubbed 'Beast'. Unlike D.Va's rabbit-inspired machine, this one draws inspiration from a bear, complete with feet designed to look like bear claws. The brief footage reveals a left arm with articulated fingers and a right arm featuring a beam emitter, sparking theories that the character will rely on a shield and sword combo, much like previous lore suggested.

Meanwhile, Season 4 brings a significant rework to the Busan map, reflecting the aftermath of an invasion by the Junkers. The city now features ruined structures, graffiti, and jury-rigged facilities, with the central tower showing signs of occupation. The Sanctuary has been given a summer makeover, Junkertown airships loom in the sky, and the MEKA base reflects these ongoing narrative shifts.

Overwatch Season 4 kicks off on Wednesday, August 12th, coinciding with the launch of the domestic Korean service, now handled by Nexon. To celebrate, an offline event titled 'Overwatch Day' will be held at BEXCO Exhibition Center 1 in Busan from Saturday the 22nd to Sunday the 23rd. The event schedule includes a talk session with Game Director Aaron Keller, creator special matches, a cosplay contest, a fan meeting with the Korean national team, and a MEKA squad-themed experience zone.
