After what feels like an eternity of speculation, the details regarding D.Mon, a fellow pilot in the MEKA squad alongside D.Va, have finally been unveiled.

Blizzard Entertainment pulled the curtain back on the 53rd Overwatch hero, D.Mon, during the EWC Overwatch Champions Series Midseason Championship held in Paris on the 3rd. D.Mon is slated to join the roster as part of Overwatch Season 4, which takes on a distinctly Korean theme.

The 19-second teaser released on the 3rd shows D.Mon piloting a red mecha in a skirmish against Wrecking Ball, while also teasing the deployment of the full MEKA squad. You can catch the full hero trailer when it drops on YouTube on Friday, August 7th, at 1:00 AM (KST).

D.Mon, whose real name is Yuna Lee, serves as the leader of the MEKA unit, the South Korean defense force within the Overwatch lore that also counts D.Va as a member. First teased back in 2018, the character shares a background as a former professional gamer and operates as a Tank hero, much like D.Va.

The mecha piloted by D.Mon goes by the name 'Beast.' Unlike D.Va's rabbit-themed mech, this one takes inspiration from a bear, with the mecha's feet styled to resemble bear claws. The brief footage reveals a left arm equipped with fingers and a right arm featuring beam emitters, suggesting a playstyle that likely incorporates a shield and sword, just as many fans previously theorized.

Meanwhile, Season 4 brings a significant rework to the Busan map, reflecting the aftermath of an invasion by the Junkers. The city now features ruined buildings, graffiti, and improvised facilities, with the central tower at the point reflecting the new occupiers. The Sanctuary map has been updated to reflect a summer aesthetic, complete with Junker airships looming in the sky and a MEKA base that mirrors the ongoing narrative shifts.

Overwatch Season 4 kicks off on Wednesday, August 12th, marking the start of local service with NEXON handling PC publishing in Korea. To celebrate, an offline event dubbed 'Overwatch Day' will be held at BEXCO Exhibition Center 1 in Busan from Saturday the 22nd to Sunday the 23rd. The event features a talk session with Game Director Aaron Keller, special creator matches, a cosplay contest, a fan meeting with the Korean national team, and immersive MEKA squad concept zones.
