SOOP is enhancing real-time communication between global streamers and users by introducing an AI-based automatic chat translation feature. Following the AI subtitle service launched in January, the platform has expanded real-time translation to the chat window, building a global live streaming environment where users worldwide can communicate in real time.

The newly introduced automatic chat translation supports various languages, including Korean, English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Thai. If the broadcast language differs from the user's preferred service language, the chat is automatically translated, allowing users to view the translated content in real time without pressing any additional buttons. The feature also enhances convenience by providing options to view and copy the original text, and it is supported across PC, mobile, Android TV, and smart TV environments.

With this feature, streamers and viewers who speak different languages can now converse naturally in a single chat room. Notably, streamer 'Yoshimyan', who held their first broadcast on the platform on the 4th, utilized the automatic chat translation during a travel broadcast in Seoul. Domestic and international viewers were able to participate in the stream in real time, recommending travel courses and sharing information in their respective languages.

This feature is expected to contribute to the expansion of esports content and live communities with global fandoms. The platform plans to activate communities by allowing global fans to cheer for and share opinions with players from professional teams—such as T1, Gen.G, kt Rolster, DRX, BNK FearX, Dplus KIA, and DN Super—during their personal broadcasts without language barriers.
