On August 19, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad rolled out a hefty update, introducing the new Casterly Rock region alongside a level cap increase and the arrival of Tier 5 gear.

The level cap has been bumped up to 55. To keep pace, the developers added new world difficulties—[Lv.6 Wandering Knight Stage 1] and [Lv.7 Wandering Knight Stage 2]—alongside the necessary level 6 and 7 limit breaks. Be warned: you will want a recommended 'Spirit' of 150,300 for level 6 and 183,900 for level 7 if you value your survival.

Tier 5 gear is now in the mix, and the progression systems have been stretched to accommodate the grind, with weapon and armor slot enhancements and set research now capped at 50. New achievements for Tier 5 sets have also been implemented. In a nod to those still climbing the ranks, the studio has lowered the crafting and purchase level requirements for older gear, while trimming down merchant sale prices and adjusting the trade house caps to ease the burden on players still in the growth phase.

Perhaps the most anticipated addition is the Westerlands' Casterly Rock. It comes packed with the expected main and side quests, plus a suite of region-specific field content. This includes 'Abandoned Vaults,' a new mini-game where you fiddle with locks for loot, and 'Chronicles,' a timeline feature that lets you dive into the lore and historical figures of the setting.
