Netmarble has rolled out the 1.3 update for Mongil: Star Dive, headlined by the arrival of a new 5-star character, 'Brichell'.

Brichell is an Earth-attribute assassin packing quite a punch. While this character desperately craves human companionship, an unfortunate habit of shyly fleeing whenever someone gets too close makes that rather difficult. In the heat of battle, Brichell teams up with a companion named 'Alfred' to channel otherworldly power, unleashing even more devastating strikes when in a state of 'Interest Overload'.

A special event titled 'Girl from the Void' will run for the next three weeks. By completing missions and clearing event dungeons, players can gather currency to exchange for summon tickets and various growth materials. Additionally, the new epic quest 'Visitor from Afar' has been added, offering a deeper look into the lore surrounding Brichell.

The update also introduces several new systems and quality-of-life tweaks. A costume system has finally arrived, kicking off with summer-themed outfits for Ophelia and Jiwon. New players will find the guide rewards much more generous, and the developers have streamlined the experience with instant completion for requests, a quick-battle feature for Rifts, and boosted benefits for the 'Vow of the Morning Star'.

During an online broadcast on August 12, Netmarble Monster PD Lee Dong-jo and Netmarble Business Division Head Kang Dong-ki outlined the future roadmap. The pair confirmed that the narrative will focus heavily on Cloud, the protagonist of the original title, and promised a steady stream of fully-voiced main story updates every three weeks.
