The new DLC for Vampire Survivors, which was teased for a summer release, is finally stepping out of the shadows on August 28.

Poncle confirmed the launch date for the 'Legacy of the Bloodmoon' expansion via their official YouTube channel on the 21st. The blink-and-you-miss-it 11-second teaser introduces the new playable character, Malice Bloodmoon, and cements that August 28 date for us all.

'Legacy of the Bloodmoon' serves as a thematic companion to the previous 'Legacy of the Moonspell' DLC. The narrative centres on the 'Bloodmoon Clan' as they hunt for a paradise bathed in the light of a crimson moon. A total of 12 new characters from the clan, including Malice Bloodmoon, Calogero Bloodmoon, Ashtaroth, Sargon, and Baal Sasart, are joining the fray.

The arsenal is also getting a substantial boost. Poncle is adding over 16 new weapons, ranging from meteor showers and giant axes to skeleton-summoning spells and gravity-defying black hole magic. To round it all off, a fresh adventure mode and an expansive new map will be thrown into the mix.

The Vampire Survivors 'Legacy of the Bloodmoon' DLC arrives on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4, and mobile devices. It is set to retail for 1,050 won, matching the recently discounted price of the 'Legacy of the Moonspell' expansion.
