Com2uS Holdings announced on August 26 that it is rolling out a collaboration update featuring Naver Webtoon's Surviving The Academy in Star Sailor. This crossover brings the webtoon's fan-favourite character Lucy into the game as a companion, alongside a freshly baked equipment system and a handful of other goodies.

For the uninitiated, Surviving The Academy follows a protagonist who gets transmigrated into a third-rate extra of their favourite game, desperately fighting to rewrite a grim destiny. Thanks to this collab, the webtoon's beloved character Lucy Mayril has joined the roster as a 3-star companion. Wielding lightning magic, Lucy packs quite a punch and is more than ready to deal devastating blows to any foes standing in the way.

That is not all, as an SSR-tier memory piece titled Reason for Living—detailing Lucy's backstory—has also dropped to give combat power a solid boost. Alongside this, a brand new skin modelled after the genius spiritist Yenika Paleover makes an entrance. A story event is likewise kicking off, showing the webtoon protagonists dropping by the Star Sailor universe for some rather unconventional shenanigans.

On top of that, Com2uS Holdings has introduced Artifacts, a shiny new equipment system designed to give underused characters another moment in the spotlight. Equipping an Artifact triggers 'Resonance' to buff specific stats while simultaneously applying 'Recoil' to lower others, adding a deliciously tactical layer of depth when tinkering with team compositions and roles. Artifacts can be snagged through the newly minted 'Ruins System'.

Naturally, a celebratory attendance event is tagging along with the update. Simply logging into the game guarantees you can recruit the new companion Lucy, while handing out various progression currencies like Gold Compasses and Silver Compasses as bonus rewards.
